Dan and the Drawings

I have finally -- after far more time than I like to admit -- finished the chapter heading illustrations for Dan and the Dead. Here’s a sneak preview.

I wonder why I found them so difficult. It’s slightly sobering. But then, little that is worthwhile was ever created easily. Or something. Perhaps I just need to buy myself a new pen…

Well worth the time, though - these drawings are superb - Dan is bursting with character.

  4. Oh, Thomas, I just love these! Especially the bats. And the dog. And, actually Dan looks pretty good too. But who's stuffed inside the bird cage? Guess I'll have to read it to find out!

  5. Thanks, Sue:)

The skull in the cage is a big part of the story, especially when you find out how the skull got in there...

I'm looking forward to the cover design being finished -- the image used on Amazon, Waterstones etc. is actually just the rough!
