I was delighted to see my picture book The Loudest Roar mentioned in a moving article in the Times this weekend. Simon Barnes' son has done me the great honour of liking (and growling along with) my tiger, Clovis. And I don't even mind playing second fiddle to Judith Kerr after such a compliment. Good luck to you, Eddie, and...
ROOAARRR!
What a moving article...and it's so wonderful to think that your story has played such a huge part in the life of someone you never knew existed until now. Good old Clovis!
ReplyDeleteYes good old Clovis......and of course GOOD OLD TOM...without whom Clovis would not have been born.Lovely story. xx
ReplyDeleteLoved that story. To think you so positively touched the life of a child and his family. So cool. You'll never know how many children you make happy with your work. It must be a good feeling.
ReplyDeleteOn top of it, to be mentioned in the Times. More cool:)
Thank you! Yes, it's usually a complete mystery just where a book goes after publication, so to here of it being read and loved is always a priviledge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a compliment!! Well done!
ReplyDeleteawww! How lovely to be such an important part of a persons' life. Warms the cockles!
